Since 2003, I am an Assistant Professor at the University of Nice-Sophia Antipolis, and attached to ECOMERS laboratory since 2008. My main research focuses on the understanding of responses of aquatic (marine and freshwater) organisms (fish and invertebrate organisms) to different environmental stress (pollutions, climate change), through the study of different defense and adaptation mechanims. My objectives are to develop and validate the new and relevant biomarkers in response to a specific or global stress, at different levels of biological organization (molecular, cellular, individu), in order to predict the potential effects at the populational level and the ecosystem. I work also in developping the in vitro bioassays to identify and assess the specific effects of chemicals on human and environmental health (e.g. endocrine disruption, genotoxicity, immunotoxicity). I am also involved in developping of the bioinformatic modelization tools for toxicological assessment.
