PhD title: Cap Roux marine protected area: from a fisheries management tool to a territory development tool?

After graduating from Aix-Marseille University at the "Centre d’Océanologie de Marseille" where I studied marine biology and ecology, I decided to specialize myself in Fisheries at the Agrocampus Ouest (Rennes).

I started my PhD in October 2015 within ECOMERS laboratory in collaboration with the environmental NGO Planète Mer, based in Marseille (www.planetemer.org). The aim of my work is to define and to build a governance model for the Cap Roux marine protected area, based on the co-management principles. My study aims to involve the stakeholders (fishermen, scuba divers) in the management of this protected area and in monitoring, based on Citizen Science protocols.
