I’m an assistant professor at the Nice Sophia Antipolis University since 2007.
I’ve a graduate degree of Montpellier SupAgro (2002), and a PhD in Evolutionary Biology and Ecology from the same school (2006). I also worked one year as an ATER (research and teaching) at the University of Pierre and Marie Curie (Paris VI) and the Museum (2006-2007).
My PhD focused on the molecular and phenotypic variation of an endangered tree in New Caledonia (Santalum austrocaledonicum). The ATER work was a conservation genetic study of a Caryophyllaceae species (Arenaria grandiflora).
Since my arrival in ECOMERS I have worked on population genetics of Macrophytes from the genus Cystoseira. I’ve mainly studied their genetic structure and connectivity.
I participate in a international research program called CoCoNET (Towards COast to COast NETworks of marine protected areas (from the shore to the high and deep sea), coupled with sea-based wind energy potential (FP7, UE, 2012-2016) – http://www.coconet-fp7.eu/).
