June 2014 - August 2015

In Nice, near the beach (Promenade des Anglais), the bottoms are covered by a fairly large Cymodocea nodosa meadow (from 5 to 15 m deep, over nearly 30 hectares), mapped in 2000 by the laboratory. In places, Zostera noltei patches were also observed. These meadows represent a remarkable ecological feature that the city of Nice wishes to preserve with the establishment of protection in this area. ECOMERS is responsible for:
- Analysis of the state of the mixed prairie Cymodocea nodosa and Zostera noltei,
- Assessing its potential as nursery area for fish,
- Evaluation of practice pressures exerted there.
